Memorial services for Dolores Lee Jordan, 86, of Durant, will be 2p.m Monday at the Faith Lutheran Church in Durant. Pastor Jerry Peterson will officiate.
Dolores was born February 28, 1937 in Pine Valley, OK, to Henry Chester Emerson and Gladys Westbrook. Dolores passed from this life on March 3, 2023 at Alliance Health Medical Center in Durant. She attended school in Caddo, OK. She was an avid animal lover, especially her cat Mittens. She also enjoyed spending time with her church family and being involved in the women’s ministry and the numerous activities involved with the group. She also loved to send cards for all birthdays, anniversaries and etc to her church family, family and friends. Singing was a passion. She especially loved “Victory in Jesus” and the older hymns. She had a beautiful singing voice. She enjoyed working on crafts. Dolores was a lover of people. She was looking forward to putting a puzzle together with her wonderful friend Mary Parker. Unfortunately, they were unable to begin the puzzle.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, and son Larry Jordan.
Dolores is survived by her son Wayne Jordan (Leanne) of LaVernia, TX, Daughter in Law Charmaine Swanson, Siblings Cecil Emerson of Ft. Worth, TX, and Bobby Emerson (Pat) of Durant, OK, Grandchildren Regina Jordan-Clark, Adam Jordan, Jeremy Jordan(Jessica), Shannon Zigmond, Sabra Hanson, Harvey Lowell, Great Grand Children Jarrett Jordan, Kobe Clark, Taylor Jordan, Jett Jordan, TJ Chinery, Caliprina Zigmond, David Zigmond, Eldon Zigmond, Great Great Granddaughter Ivy Jordan as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Mary Jane Parker, Pastor Jerry Peterson, the staff of Kings Daughters and Sons Nursing Home and the excellent care by the nurses of Alliance Health ICU.
