Memorial services, for Timothy “Tim” Jones, 60, of Marietta were held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 10 at the Thackerville Community Church with Brother Murray McMurray officiating.
Born May 19, 1960 at Fort Worth, Texas, the son of David A. “Pete” and Peggy Y. Boatner Jones, he died Monday, July 6, 2020.
Tim was a lifelong resident of the area, graduating from Thackerville High School with the Class of 1979. He married his high school sweetheart Zina K. Bratcher on May 19, 1979 in Gainesville, Texas. Tim worked for Safran for 15 years as an inventory specialist. He liked to eat and enjoyed trips to the casino. Tim was a family man who enjoyed various activities with his family. He played golf with his kids and brothers, coached youth teams, enjoyed spending time with kids and grandkids, and loved attending family get-togethers.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Zina Jones of the home; sons, Cody Jones and wife Laticia of Marietta and Cory Jones and fiancée Miranda Rogers of Gainesville; daughter, Candis Jones and special friend Jeremy of Pauls Valley; two brothers, David T. Jones and wife Rose Ann of Fort Worth and Donald E. Jones and wife Donna Ruth of Springtown, Texas; sister, Brenda Black of Clearwater, Florida; and eight grandchildren, Halley, Elizabeth, Kennedy, Reagan, Tatum, Brooklyn, Nathan, and Kayden.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the youth program at Thackerville Community Church, P.O. Box 132, Thackerville, OK 73459 or drop off at the funeral home.
