Steven Joseph Jones, 70, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on February 28, 2025. He was born on October 20, 1954, and lived a life dedicated to service, family, and faith. Steven proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for more than six years. After his honorable discharge, he devoted 28 years to a career in research for the federal government before retiring. Beyond his work, Steven found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid golfer and a Denver Broncos fan. Before the passing of his beloved wife, Genny, they made their home in Colorado, where they were active members of their church in Brighton. Together, they found purpose in serving others, often cooking meals for their church community. Steven will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering dedication, and the many ways he touched the lives of those around him. His legacy of service and love lives on in the hearts of family and friends.
Steven is survived by his siblings, stepdaughters, Rachel Hendrix, Lara Hu, and Hannah Hendri; his step-grandson, Zane Pipiernik; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Genny Jones, and his stepson, Charles Hendrix.
No formal services will be held at this time. To leave his family a message, please visit his Tribute Wall at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman’s Funeral & Cremation Service.
