Services for Ronald S. Jones, 60, of Moss Lake, Texas were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 21 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville, Texas with Rev. Bob Humphreys officiating.
Born June 29, 1950 in Dallas, the son of Robert O’Neal and Hazel Erma Loraine Gentry Jones, he died Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.
“Jonesy” led a very active lifestyle. He lived his life to the fullest and never took anything for granted. Many of his passions, among other things, included riding his motorcycle, playing golf, dancing, playing pool, and throwing horseshoes. Being so active earned him the nickname “Too Busy” which he enjoyed.
Steve is survived by his wife, Alice Holt Scott of Moss Lake; a daughter, Rhonda Primrose of Princeton, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald Stephen, Jr. and Tara Jones of Krum, Texas and Richard Neal and Michele Jones of Collinsville, Texas; a step-daughter and son-in-law, Beddie and Mark McCage of Thackerville; two step-sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Veronica Scott of Thackerville and Timmy and Temeshea Scott; six brothers, one sister, 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alice and Steve Jones Benefit Fund at the Muenster State Bank, Gainesville branch, 1601 W. Hwy. 82, Gainesville, TX 76240.
