Patricia Loyce (Deines) Jones, daughter of the late Hubert and Esther Deines, was born May 13, 1944, in Hays, KS.

Pat was the second of five children. She lived in WaKeeney, KS, where she attended a one-room country school. In 1957 the Family moved to Flagler, CO, where Pat received her high school education and graduated with the class of 1962.

She was living in Pond Creek, OK, at the time of her death. She completed her earthly journey on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the age of 78 years 1month and 2 days.

On January 6, 1963, Pat was united in marriage to Galen Peterson at Pleasant Plains church in Limon, CO. Four sons were born to their union, Shannon, Curtis, Travis, and Boyd. Their union lasted 20 years. On May 10, 1991, Pat was united in marriage to Todd Jones in Medford, OK, a union that lasted until the time of her death.

Her working years began at Mountain Bell Telephone in Limon, CO. After starting a family, she worked in the food service industry; there were many roles in food preparation and as a cook. One of her most memorable jobs was cooking for the kids at Wakita Public Schools. Her true passion was to serve others, as her kitchen was always open, and nobody ever left her home hungry.

Memories of Pat will be cherished by her husband, Todd of the home in Pond Creek, OK; her sons, Shannon Peterson of Olmitz, KS., Curtis Peterson and wife Shelly of Olmitz, KS, Travis Peterson of Conway Springs, KS, Boyd Peterson of Pond Creek, OK; her brother John Deines and wife Kathy of Hays, KS; her brother, Chuck Deines and wife Patty of Hays, KS; her sister, Erna Pasman and husband John of Oxford, KS. In addition to the above, surviving are 5 nieces and 5 nephews, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends who will cherish Pat forever.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Joyce (Deines) Noakes.

Celebration of life will be announced at a later date to family and friends.
