Jimmie Lee Jones, age 97, went to be with our Lord October 13, 2025 due to complications of dementia. She was born September 19, 1928, in Seminole, OK, daughter of the late Harrison Nicholas Lewis and Opal May Kelley-Lewis.
Jimmie was preceded in death by her first husband Gerald Dean Calhoun and second husband John Paul Jones, brothers Ronald Lewis, George Lewis, Jack Hart, and son Rick W. Calhoun. She is survived by her grandson Dr. Shanon P. Calhoun and his wife Lacey D. Calhoun, great grandson Chris J. Calhoun, and great granddaughter Payton N. Calhoun.
Jimmie was a member of the Lakeside Baptist Church and business woman. She graduated from Highschool and completed bookkeeping courses early in life, subsequently worked for several companies before working as comptroller at Balliet’s in Oklahoma City for many years, was a member of the Executive Woman International OK Chapter, temporarily retired to Grand Lake in Afton, OK, and finished her career as business owner of The Glass House Shoppe in Vinita, OK until finally retiring and settling in Tulsa.
Jimmie was cherished by her family and friends and will be deeply missed. We are all saddened for this temporary loss but are comforted knowing that one day we will all be reunited with our Lord Jesus Christ in His Kingdom in heaven and one day on this Earth.
