Jesse Jones, resident of Tecumseh, OK, passed from this earth on April 26, 2025. Jesse was born to Betty and Dale Jones Sr. in Tallahassee, Florida on April 15, 1962.
A proud veteran, he served in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant, dedicating 20 years of his life to his country. After serving he worked with youth at Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center and then moved on to working at Tinker Air Force Base.
Jesse loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved the outdoors whether it was horseback riding, paintball, working with his tractor or just watching the wildlife and a beautiful sunset from his back porch. He enjoyed welding and creating his art with horseshoes.
One of Jesse’s favorite stories to tell was from his childhood when he was out picking watermelons and wasn’t supposed to be out in that field and the farmer came out and shot at him with rock salt and he would always say “and that shit hurt” while laughing and rubbing his arm. He was full of fun stories from his childhood. He was very proud of his children. Jesse made friends wherever he went and will truly be missed by many people.
He was preceded in death by his parents Betty and Dale Jones Sr., brother Dale Jones Jr. Jesse is survived by his sister, children and many grandchildren.
Services for Jesse will be held at Cooper Funeral Home on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 10:00am.
