Gavin Carter Jones, infant son of Eric and Ashley Jones, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at OU Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City surrounded by his loved ones and his OU NICU team.
Gavin Carter Jones was born on February 24, 2026, in Altus, Oklahoma to Eric Frederick and Ashley Anne (Johndro) Jones. He touched the lives of so many in the very short time he was with us. Gavin passed due to complications with Tetralogy of Fallot and DiGeorge Syndrome.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Eric and Ashley Jones; his big brother, Silas Jones; paternal grandparents, Monica (Brinkhoff) Jones and Keith Jones and wife, Susan; maternal grandparents, Terry and Cuppy (Redmond) Johndro; two uncles, Sam Jones and Chris Johndro; his OU NICU team; and his fur siblings, Sonny Jim and Wendy Bendy.
The family will host friends from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Friday, June 5, 2026, at the funeral home. The family suggests that, in honor of Gavin, those attending bring a toy or teddy bear to donate to OU Children's Hospital. A celebration of Gavin's life will immediately follow at 11:00 AM with Father Milan Kasperek officiating. Services are under the care of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory.
