Mr. Edward Raymond Jones, 88, passed away to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 9th, 2016
Private family services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Ed lived in the surrounding areas in Oklahoma and Missouri before settling in the Bartlesville area. Ed worked most of his life in the paint and body business. He opened West Side Paint & Body in the early 1960's. Upon his retirement his oldest son, Wes took over the family business. Ed enjoyed stock car racing and belonged to Professional Rodeo Cowboy's Association and was a long time member of the Hulah Lake Bird Dog Club.
He was married to LaFaun Frakes of Tulsa. They were married for 38 years and to that union was born three children, Westley Jones of Dewey, Okla., Ron Jones of Bartlesville and Janette & husband Tom King of Pensacola, Florida, three grandsons, Travis Jones and Danny & Kim Jones of Bartlesville and Casey Mattix of Mansfield, Missouri, Trevor Jones of Bartlesville, Parker Mattix of Mansfield, Missouri and Gaven and Laif Jones of Bartlesville and many nieces and nephews. He was later married to Sheila Hicks of Bartlesville for the past 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Betty Daniel, brothers, Bobby Jones and Don Jones and granddaughter, Michelle LaFaun Mattix. He will be greatly missed and was loved by many.
