Memorial services for Ethel Marie Ellis Jones, 89, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Asbury United Methodist Church, Rev. Travis Muse will officiate.
Mrs. Jones passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at a local hospital. She was born April 11, 1926 at Perry, OK to Henry Harvey and Agnes Loretta Neurburg Ellis.
She married Lattie Earnest Jones, Jr. on December 29, 1951. Mrs. Jones was an Administrative Assistant at Robert S. Kerr Research Lab in Ada and she was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Lattie, of the home; her four children, Deborah K. Tucker, Tulsa, Bruce Jones and wife Glenna, Ada, Trudy Eslami, Birmingham, AL and Jana Jones, Ada; six grandchildren, Ransome Tucker, Austin, TX, Kolbe Thaggard, Ada, Mikenna Long, Ada, Gabriel Eslami and Carmen Eslami, both of Birmingham, AL and Christy Sheppard, Ada; five great-grandchildren, Will Sheppard, Drew Sheppard, Addie Sheppard, Reina Long and Adrian Long, all of Ada; one sister, Helen James, Durango, CO; and a brother, Joe Ellis, Brighton, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Gene Ellis, Vernon Ellis and Raymond Ellis; and two sisters, Irene Thomas and Dorothy Spinosi.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Asbury Food Pantry, P. O. Box 2342, Ada, OK 74821.
