Anthony (Tony) Raymond Jones, the son of Gene Jones and Claire (Arlinghaus) Jones was born on May 4, 1968, in Cincinnati, Ohio and he passed from this life on April 30, 2022 in his home in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 53 years 11 months and 26 days.
Tony attended Brantnor Elementary School, Saint Veronica Catholic School, graduated from Glen Estes High School in 1986, and attended the Auto Mechanic Technical Program in the Mt. Carmel Community of Cincinnati, Clermont County, Ohio. Soon after moving to Oklahoma Tony began work installing church pews traveling nationwide. He then began working as a store employee for Walmart in Stilwell, Oklahoma. Soon after, Tony became an independent contractor working for many vendors keeping the shelves stocked and full at the local stores. He loved NASCAR races, Cincinnati Reds baseball, and Cincinnati Bengals football. Tony was a devoted husband and loved spending time with his wife Merry. He touched many lives over the years and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. And the shelves of Walmart won’t look the same.
Tony was preceded in death by his wife Merry (Carpenter) Jones, parents, two brothers Christopher William Jones of Florida and Steven Larion Jones in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He is survived by brother Ed Jones and wife Shannon of Big Cabin, Ok, Chip Jones of Cincinnati, Ohio; stepson Terry Anderson and wife Bobbie Jo of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; aunts Carol Irairt-Rose of Florida and Ruth Willhite of Stilwell: 3 step-grandchildren, Kelly, James and John. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives also survive him.
Memorial Service was held 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Bidding Creek Baptist Church, Stilwell, OK under the direction of Roberts-Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
