Sally Louise (Vaden) Johnston had the best day ever on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, when she met Jesus face to face and reunited with many beloved family and friends.
Sally was born October 22, 1939, to Jesse and Lola Weaver Vaden in Slick, Oklahoma, but grew up in Webb City. She married Henry Dady and they had four children; Becky Louise, Johnce Leroy, Michael Eugene, and Angela Lee. They spent time in Leadville, Colorado, Texas, and later, Sally returned to Shidler, Oklahoma and raised her children.
Later Sally lived in Cedarvale, KS, Pawhuska, Foraker, and eventually was coaxed into moving to Ponca City. She was known to tear up the highways and not always obey the speed limit. She left smiles everywhere she went with her quick-witted comebacks and great sense of humor. You could catch her crafting before crafting was cool, whether it was woodworking, knitting, painting, or creating many other great gifs with her hands and phenomenal artistic ability. One thing for certain, she was almost always with her sidekick, her sister Dolly; those two were quite a pair. As she moved into her golden years, she enjoyed working at TLC with Dolly, working crossword puzzles, and reading.
Most importantly, she was a child of God with unwavering faith. Thus, easing the minds of the family and friends left behind, knowing she is safe in the arms of our Lord.
Sally is preceded in death by her parents Jess and Lola, her brothers; Neal, Jerry, Jack, Jesse (Junior) and sister Dolly Parks, also her daughter Becky Lewis, and both of her sons, Johnce and Michael (Mike) Dady.
Sally is survived by her daughter Angela Morgan and husband Robert of Ponca City, OK, daughter-in-law Norma Dady Reece of Ponca City, OK, brother-in-law Duke Parks of Pawhuska, OK, granddaughter Jessi Floyd and husband Josh of Chandler, OK, granddaughter Sarah Filtz and husband Drew of Perkins, OK, grandson Michael Dady and wife Shannon of Ponca City, OK, grandson Jason Morgan of Ponca City, OK and grandson Mathew Morgan of Ponca City, OK.
