Jay C. Johnston began his life on April 10, 1971, in Enid, OK, when he was welcomed by his parents E.R. and Marletta Johnston. He left this life and went to be with his Lord on April 11, 2023, at the age of 52 years and 1 day. Jay and his family made Waynoka their home and he attended Waynoka Schools from Kindergarten through High School graduating with the class of 1989. He then attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University obtaining a degree in Biology.
From 1992 until 2000, Jay proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard.
With great joy, on April 20, 2010, Jay was united in marriage to Holly Millett at Boiling Springs Park in Woodward, Oklahoma. The couple first made their home in Woodward, OK and later moved to Seiling, OK, which would remain their home. Their family grew to include a son Jacob and a daughter Jasmine along with Andrew, Jade, and Brandy.
Jay was employed as a truck driver, which was a job he thoroughly enjoyed. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He enjoyed music and working with his hands. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.
Jay was preceded in death by his sister Kathy Brace and a niece, Katrina Perry.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Holly, parents E.R. and Marletta Johnston of Waynoka, and his children: Jacob and Jasmine of the home in Seiling, OK, Andrew, Jade and Brandy also of Seiling, OK. Others who will cherish his memory are his brothers: Russell Johnston and wife Alice of Waynoka, and Ira Johnston and wife Barbara of Seiling, Ok. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, 1 uncle, 4 nieces, 4 nephews, other relatives and many friends who will miss his smiling face and warm heart.
