Ramona Lee (Norris) Johnson

July 18, 1929 ~ September 23, 2018

Memorial Services for Mrs. Ramona Lee Johnson, 89, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 2:00 p. m. at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Lansdale officiating. Mrs. Johnson passed away on September 23, 2018 at her home. At her request, the family selected cremation. A Private Burial will be conducted later.

Ramona was born on July 18, 1929 in Tishomingo to Coy Norris and Winnie (Meharg) Norris. She gave her life to the Lord at the age of 12 in 1941. Baptism was in the old First Baptist Church on north Neshoba in Tishomingo. On July 24, 1949, Ramona married George W. Johnson, officiated by Brother M. D. Gentry. They were married 51 years until George's death in 2000. Two sons were born to them, Thomas Michael in 1951 and he passed away in 2007, and Robert Wayne, 1955. Ramona's education started in Tishomingo Elementary and ended at the high school there in 1947. She received her first two years of higher education at Murray State College in 1949 and a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Education in 1966 at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.

Ramona is survived by a son, Robert and wife Mary; two grandsons, Jaren Callen and wife Brandy and Landon Johnson and wife Elise; two granddaughters, Echo Callen and Sarah Harbin and husband Kyle; nine great-grandchildren, Jaylea, Jatelyn, Jycen Callen, Blain, Stetson and Ivy Harbin, Ashlynn and Cooper Callen and Eli Oliger; She also leaves many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends whom she dearly loved
