Harold Eugene Johnson, age 74, passed from this life to the next on December 18, 2024 at the Fairview Regional Medical Center in Fairview, Oklahoma. He was Born August 9, 1950 in Okeene Oklahoma the third eldest of 10 children. He attended elementary school at Isabella, Oklahoma and high school in Fairview, Oklahoma. Harold was drafted into the United States Army in 1970 and was stationed in in Germany. He was Honorable discharged in January 1972. Harold returned home and in July of 1972 he married Marilyn Boeckman. To this union were born two boys, Bradley Keith and Jared Ray. In 1977 he married Marilyn Lucas and they had one boy, Joseph Leroy.
Growing up in a big family like he did gave him a good work ethic. He worked several jobs during his life, Major County, he worked in the oil field, he did hay work for Herb Schmidt, and then the Ewald Brothers Tires until he retired to name a few. When he wasn’t working, he liked gardening, fishing, tinkering, mowing yards, (sometimes for people that didn’t want their yards mowed). He loved to stay busy but most of all he loved his grandchildren.
Harold is survived by his children; Bradley and Monica Johnson of Fort Worth, Texas, Jared Johnson of Waukomis, Oklahoma, and Joe and Casie Johnson of Kingfisher, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his grandchildren Devin and Cheyenne Johnson, Hayden Johnson, Julian Johnson, Chandler Johnson, and Abigail Johnson, and great grandchildren Cash and Maizey. Harold also is survived by his six brothers; Carl and Carrie Johnson of Yuma, Arizona, Lyndon and Debbie Johnson of Watonga, Oklahoma, Glenn and Lorna Johnson of Lakin, Kansas, John and Darla Johnson of Okeene, Oklahoma, Clayton and Connie Johnson, of Ringwood, Oklahoma, Tim Johnson of Fairview, and two sisters Genevieve and Daryl Wichert and Minnie Johnson both of Fairview, one sister-in-law Gloria Johnson of Tonkawa, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Alene Johnson and one brother Dwayne Johnson.
In Lue of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fairview Senior Citizens with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.
