George Vincent Johnson Sr., 63 of Bartlesville, Oklahoma passed away on February 24, 2025. He was a beloved father, brother, uncle and friend.
Upon graduating from Independence High School in 1979, George joined the U.S. Navy where he proudly served his country. After completing his tour of duty, he relocated to California and joined his older brothers in the family cement masonry business. He later returned back home to Independence and started his business as "The Concrete Man".
George had many achievements throughout his life, but that of which he was most proud was being a doting father to his sons, and a father figure to his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his children Justin George, Jacob Vincent, George Vincent Jr., John Wayne, and Trisha Johnson. He is also survived by his siblings Robert "Jay" Johnson and LaDonna Johnson.
George is preceded in death by his parents Bertha Mae Derricks, Searcy Johnson Sr.; daughter Lisa Marie Johnson; his siblings Searcy Jr. Johnson, Leroy Johnson, Steve Johnson, Mose Johnson, Joycelyn Frisco, Twylla Johnson, and Lynn Riley.
George Johnson was a good man and a hardworking man. He never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back. A movie buff, he loved to laugh, fish, camp, play dominos, pour concrete and root for the NFL Seahawks. He will be greatly missed by all who know and love him.
