Diana R. Johnson went to join her beloved Toby, her long-time business partner and friend Jaci Oulds on October 8, 2020. Diana and Jaci started Dogs Beautiful in 1973 and she leaves behind many loyal customers and friends she has made over the years. Her good friend and wonderful caregiver Jennifer Fulkerson was with her to make her transition easier.
Diana was born in Oklahoma City, OK in 1952 and lived in the surrounding area her entire life. Her parents Lloyd and Geneva Johnson raised Diana and her two brothers Bruce and Mark with an abundance of love and the Golden Rule teachings. She loved reading, cooking and of course Toby and her schnauzers. She had the nickname of "The Queen" as she was always directing her subjects in the correct way to prepare the food for all the Holiday Seasons. Entertaining was a passion for her and the idea of anyone going hungry after one of her get togethers was just unbearable.
Diana is survived by her longtime friend and companion Elaine Rikli of the home, her brother Bruce Johnson of OKC, brother Mark Johnson and Dianna of MWC, niece Alicia and Matt Hunt of OKC, niece Caitlin and Zack Plog of OKC, niece Lauren and Christopher Gandy of Tyler, Tx and 4 great nephews, her longtime friend and employee of 30 years Vicki Phillips. And all the adopted family and friends she has had thru the decades.
She was preceded in death by her true love Toby of the home, her parents Lloyd and Geneva Johnson of OKC and Cindy Johnson of OKC.
A celebration of Diana's life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Stevenson Cancer Center, OKC
