Mary Magdelene (Thies) Jochims
November 10, 1953 ~ August 3, 2025

Mary Magdelene Jochims, 71, of Oologah, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home on August 3, 2025.

Mary was born on November 10, 1953, in Carroll, Iowa, to Linus and Clara (Ziegman) Thies, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Loren Thies, sister-in-law, Mary Ann Thies, brother-in-law, Larry Kjar, father-in-law, Robert Jochims Sr., and her brother-in-law, Todd Jochims.

She is survived by her siblings; Joan Lund and special friend Paul Miller of Tuscon, Arizona, Ron(Zanet) Thies of Ida Grove, Iowa, Richard(Sherry) Thies of Arthur, Iowa, Diane(Gary) Boerner of Gowrie, Iowa, Rudy(Deanna) Thies of Arthur, Iowa and Linnea(Bill) Hopp of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She is survived by her mother-in-law, Louetta Jochims of Ida Grove, Iowa, sister-in-law, Valerie(Mark) Gamble of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, and many nephews and nieces.

Throughout her life, Mary was known for her kindness, warmth, and dedication to her family. She loved to crochet, quilt, watch college sporting events, tend to her garden and baking for her family. Her passions brought joy to those around her and reflected her gentle, nurturing spirit.

Mary will be deeply missed by her husband, Robert Jochims Jr, her son, Lee(April) Wallace of Cherokee, Iowa, and her daughter, Maggie(Jason) Spoonemore of Billings, Montana. Mary is a grandmother to: Devynne(Tyler Bezoni) Reis, Austin Norris, Devin Wallace, Marrisa Jochims, Brendon(Aubrey) Wallace, Bronsan(Aspen Woodall) Reis, Maranda Clancy, Alekzander Wallace and Hailey Spoonemore. And a great grandmother to: Aspenn Bezoni, Breyer Wallace, Laken Wallace, Rainer Bezoni, Ava Wallace and soon to join the family, Kolton Wallace.

Her card/dice games with her children and grandchildren and all the cooking/baked goodies will be truly missed. Mary’s love and presence touched many lives, and her unconditional love will be remembered forever.

No local services are planned at this time.

Cremation services are provided by Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
