Many years of failing health came to an end within a two month period after being diagnosed with lung cancer. His discomfort is over now, but we all will mourn the loss of his wit and humor as well as his insight and intelligence.
He was a graduate of Bakersfield High School's Class of 1956. He went on to Bakersfield College. He was an avid reader of science journals and books about everything from science and Technology to travel companions. His later training through apprenticeship made him a competent welder and metal fabricator. He went on to get his vocational teching credentials where he taught others how to weld and fabricate pope for the oil industry.
He was a well-recognized employee at Oil Field Construction Company, as well as a member of the Local #460 (Later the Local #409) for most of his adult life. In later years he worked primarily out of the fabrication ship. After his retirement he went back to work at ARB and later went on to work from home for NAPTECH in Utah as a computer draftsman.
His hobbies and interests included tomato gardening, genealogy, California and computer technology.
