Shirley Jean (Carter) Jenner
September 8, 1938 ~ October 4, 2017

Shirley J. Jenner, age 79 and longtime Bartlesville resident, passed away in Medicalodge of Dewey, on Wednesday, October 4, 2017.

Shirley Jean Carter was born in Bartlesville on September 8, 1938. She was the daughter of Raymond Carter and Goldie (Larimore) Carter.

She received her education in Bartlesville, graduating with her Sr. Class. After graduation, she was immediately given a position with Phillips Petroleum Company where she handled secretarial and administrative assistant duties. At the time of her retirement, she worked in Employee Travel, arranging travel for the company executives. Shirley was a 40+-year employee with the company.

Shirley and Robert W. Jenner were united in marriage on February 2, 1981 in Bartlesville where they made their home together. Mr. Jenner preceded her in death on August 6, 2011. She was of the Baptist faith During her lifetime, Shirley had many interests, but in particular, she loved golf and enjoyed very much taking care of the grandchildren.

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Janet Carter, Bartlesville; step-daughter, Julie Jenner Gay, also of Bartlesville; and three grandchildren that she helped raise, Sterling Gay, Aaron Heywood and Shi Anne Coke.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Nancy Jones.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Shirley's memory be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Oklahoma Chapter, Dept. 2845, Tulsa, OK 74182 or to the charity of choice.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
