Herbert Charles “Herb” Jenke
March 24, 1956 ~ July 1, 2023

Herbert “Herb” Charles Jenke passed away July 1, 2023 in Yukon, OK. He was born March 24, 1956 in San Antonio, TX to Paul and Marjorie (Ward) Jenke. He graduated from Putnam City High School in 1974 and he was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the Civil Air Patrol.

Herb met the love of his life, Mary Jo Adams, and they were married June 29, 1985. He worked as a bus monitor for Putnam City Schools and retired in 2016. He was a big train enthusiast and loved working on cars and listening to music.

Herb was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo; and sisters, Mary Ann (Edward) Morris, Carol (Tim) Brogan, and Linda Jenke Snow (Jessica Gonzales). He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, July 27 at the Mercer-Adams Funeral Service Chapel.
