ENID, Okla. - Memorial service for Jerry Ray Jehlicka, 75, of Enid, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Irwin officiating. Jerry's request was to be cremated. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6:30-8:00 p.m. today. Jerry was born Oct. 28, 1936, in Perry, Okla., to Bohumil John Jehlicka and Florence Angela Martin and passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012.
Jerry attended Enid High School, graduating in 1954. He attended Oklahoma State University. Jerry married Vonda Louthan Feb. 14, 1961, in Woodward, Okla. He farmed the family homestead near Goltry while working in the laboratory at Champlin Refinery, retiring in 1984. Jerry was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Vonda of the home; son, David Jehlicka and wife Melissa of Tulsa; daughters, Brenda Drury and husband Tom of Wichita, Kan., Jana Randolph and husband Tim, Diana Crawford and husband Duwayne, both of Enid; 10 grandchildren, Matthew Randolph and wife Stephanie, Allison Randolph, Colton, Caleb, and Chandler Meadows, Clay Crawford, Lauren, Miles and Megan Jehlicka, and Holly Drury; two great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Brayton Randolph.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather whose memory will always be treasured.
