Robert Joe "Bobbie Joe" Jarrett
September 11, 1936 ~ May 4, 2020 (age 83)

Robert “Bobbie Joe” Jarrett 83, of Norman passed away Monday May 4, 2020. He was born on September 11, 1936 to Ralph and Bonnie Jarret. He grew up in Drumright, OK and was a graduate of Drumright High School, class of 1954. He was an Oklahoma All State basketball player. Later he graduated from New Mexico State University in 1958 and The University of Utah in 1972 with his PHD.

Bob was a passionate wood turner and loved sharing his passion with others through teaching. He had been a long time member of the Central Oklahoma Woodturners Association where he has been actively involved with the mentor program.

His parents Ralph and Bonnie Jarrett precede Bob in death.

Bob is survived by his wife, of 63 years, Donna (Carnahan) Jarrett; daughters, Vikki (Paul) Buckley and Suzan (Mark) Petty; granddaughters, Sara (Brett) Cox, Kristin (Tommy) Ward, and Emma Buckley; great grandson, Cooper Jarrett Cox; sister, Sally Smalley; nephew Jeff Smalley; and brother in law, Donald Carnahan.
