Phyllis was born July 8, 1934 in Holdenville, Oklahoma, to Ralph and Evelyn Tucker McLean. She was a lifelong learner and teaching was her passion. Before she retired, she was a reading instructor and a student teacher advisor for the University of Central Oklahoma.

Phyllis loved to travel and took beautiful photographs of the people and places she visited. She was an avid reader, both for pleasure and to stay informed of local, national and world events. She was delighted to spend time with her family and large circle of close friends and was a fierce advocate of anyone and anything she loved and believed in.

She is survived by her companion, Gladys Dronberger of the home, a daughter, Linda and her husband Jim Moore of Bartlesville, along with their son, Jarrett, and daughter, Cara; a son, Robert and his wife Jill Laney Jarrett of Portland, Oregon; son-in-law, Chris Cauthon of Tulsa; and a host of treasured friends. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Evelyn Tucker McLean, a son, John Jarrett, and her daughters, Lisa Jarrett and Carol Jarrett Cauthon).
