Kenneth Lee Jarrett

Kenneth Lee Jarrett
June 14, 1959 ~ March 22, 2018

It is with great sadness the family of Kenneth Lee Jarrett announces his sudden passing on March 22, 2018, at the age of 58 years.

Ken was born June 14, 1959, to the George and Lue Vennia Jarrett in Henning, Tennessee. He was the fifth child of seven. After graduating from Ripley (TN) High School in 1977, he graduated from the University of Memphis, formerly known as Memphis State University, with a degree in Accounting.

He relocated to Oklahoma after accepting a position with Conoco, Inc. where he worked as an accountant. His position with Conoco and later ConocoPhillips allowed him to travel all over the United States and Canada before he retired in Bartlesville after 31 years with the company.

Shortly after relocating, he met his wife Priscilla. The two were married on April 19, 1986. They made their home in Ponca City, OK where they raised their three children: Tamra, Bradley, and Danielle.

Ken's faith was paramount in his life and he was an active member of St. John Baptist Church in Ponca City and later Greater First Baptist Church in Bartlesville. He took pride in participating in community events and routinely volunteered with several organizations.

An avid sports fan, he loved to cheer on his Memphis Tigers as well as Oklahoma State Cowboys and The Oklahoma City Thunder. He took solace working in his yard and listening to gospel music.

He is survived by and will be deeply missed by his wife of 31 years, Priscilla (nee Johnson) of Bartlesville, OK, children Bradley Jarrett of Tulsa, OK, Tamra (Josh) Johnston of Oklahoma City, OK, Danielle Jarrett of Bartlesville, OK, sisters Lillian Diane Jarrett of Ripley, Tennessee, and Sunjah Nicole Jarrett of Decatur, IL as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, George and Lue Vennia Jarrett, siblings: George Jarrett, Jr., Mary Jarrett, William Jarrett, and Kathy Jarrett.

A Celebration of Ken's life will be held at 11 am, on Thursday, March 29, at Greater First Baptist Church, 216 W 10th St, Bartlesville, OK 74003 with Pastor Victor A. Paul presiding.

The funeral services are being handled by Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville. Internment will take place in his home state of Tennessee.
