Robert Raymond "Bob" Jardine
October 29, 1927 ~ April 27, 2017

Robert R. (Bob) Jardine passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017. A memorial service will be held Monday, May 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Bartlesville First Church on Price Road with Reverend Buz Wierick officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Robert Raymond Jardine was born October 29, 1927 in Joplin, MO to Glenn and Mary Etta (Sharp) Jardine. Bob was raised in Independence, KS graduating in 1945. Bob proudly served his country enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1945. While in the Navy, he had the opportunity to participate in the testing of atomic bombs around the Bikini Islands. He was honorably discharged in October 1948. After returning from service, he entered college and graduated with a degree in Accounting from Wichita State University. Bob worked for Phillips Petroleum from 1958 to 1988 and completed his working career at Service & Technology. Bob married Mary Louise Appleby on February 19, 1961 in Cedar Vale, KS. He was a long time member of Bartlesville First Church serving on the Mission Committee, as an usher and in many other activities. Bob also volunteered for CONCERN and served on their board of directors. Bob enjoyed going on cruises as well as meeting and talking with people. He never met a stranger and was always smiling and laughing. He loved and was committed to supporting his family and extended family throughout his lifetime. His family meant everything to him and they were blessed by him.

Bob is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Jardine, two sons, Mark Jardine and wife, Elizabeth, of Edmond and Scott Jardine and wife, Shauna, of Pittsburg, PA. He was blessed with five grandchildren: Laura, Abby, Callie, Ross and John-Mark Jardine. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Donna Jardine of Wichita, KS and Mariellen Appleby of Sedan, KS, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers (Glenn Donald Jardine and Charlie Jardine) and three sisters (Geraldine Martin, Wilma Lou O'Harra and Lois Taylor).
