Mr. Harold R. Jackson, 82, of Bartlesville, died at 5:25 P.M. on Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Memorial services for Mr. Jackson will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the New Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Cox officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mr. Jackson was born at Holdenville, Oklahoma on March 5, 1935 the son of Joseph R. and Nora B. (Love) Jackson. He grew up and received his education in Pawhuska, Oklahoma and graduated from high school there. He served for six years in the Army National Guard. He moved to Bartlesville and was employed with Reda Pump until beginning his own janitorial service which he operated until his retirement. He was married to Phylis Fay Smith on December 23, 1979 in Bartlesville. They made their home in Bartlesville and Mrs. Jackson preceded him in death on September 28, 2012. Mr. Jackson was a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church and he enjoyed collecting stamps and coins and watching soap operas.
Mr. Jackson is survived by a daughter, Nora Vickery of Tuttle, Oklahoma, a son, Harold R. Jackson Jr. of Bartlesville, eight grandchildren, Joshua, Gabriel, Adrian, Ashley, LaKeisha, Brandon, Colten and Harper and three great grandchildren, Paul, Nicklas and Loretta.
In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents.
