Harold Eugene Jackson, 62, of Yukon, Okla., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was born Oct. 4, 1952, in Alva, Okla., to Ernest and Orieta (Gray) Jackson.
He grew up at Capron, Okla., graduating from high school in Burlington, Okla.
He married Denise Jones in 1973, in Alva, Okla.
He worked at the lumber yard and the coop for a while before going to the oil field.
He received an accounting degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 1988, and completed his Certified Public Accountant Certification in 2004.
After graduation he went to work for Defense Contract Audit Agency in Redondo Beach, Calif. His job brought the family back to Oklahoma, where they have maintained their home in Yukon since 1991. In his 26 years with the company, he held various positions and traveled frequently to fulfill his duties.
Experience included; instructor at Memphis, Tenn., overseas assignments in Germany and Afghanistan and most recently supervisory auditor in Oklahoma City.
He was a voracious reader with a love of history and woodworking. The most important role in his life was that of a proud, supportive father, grandfather and a devoted, loving husband.
Survivors include his wife, Denise of the home; sons, Kyle Jackson of Fort Knox, Ky., Trent Jackson of Yukon, Okla., and Jonathan Jackson of Yukon, Okla.; his mother, Orieta Jackson of Alva, Okla.; grandchildren, Dakota, Peyton, Kylie, Jonathan and Nathan; brother, Duane Jackson and wife Sherrill of Burlington, Okla.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, in the chapel of Smith & Turner Mortuary, Yukon, OK.
