Robert (Bob) Ernest Ita, 76, of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023, at his home in Kingston. He was born on September 19, 1946, in East Cleveland, Ohio to the late Ernes Ita and Mildred Homolak Ita.
Bob attended Tarrant County College in Ft. Worth, Texas and Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma receiving his Bachelor’s in science and management.
He married Jeanette Bradly Ita, (deceased) and had two beautiful daughters. Later he married Donna van den Akker on December 31, 1990, in Enid, Oklahoma, and acquired another beautiful daughter.
Bob served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Over the years he worked as a Security Officer for Hurst Police Department, Hurst, Texas, Union Equity in Enid, Oklahoma, Farmland Industry, Liberty, Missouri, and as a Railroad Transportation Specialist for Trinity Industries, in Dallas, Texas.
Bob was a member of the Texoma Southern Baptist Church, where he loved operating the sound system and teaching Sunday School; he was a board member and a first responder for Buncombe Creek Vol. Fire Department and also was a past member of the Toastmasters. He enjoyed acting and was a member of the Fair Based Production Theater Group where he played Mr. Fuzzywig and Old Joe the pawn broker in a Christmas Carol. He also played in various melodramas at the fair. Bob enjoyed boating, fishing, watching football and baseball, gardening, and grilling. His greatest love was spoiling the grandchildren.
He is survived by Wife: Donna Ita, Kingston, Oklahoma. Children: Becky Patton and husband Pat, Guthrie, Oklahoma; Molly Richards and husband Wesley, McKinney, Texas; Shirley Schrader and husband Jason, Kingston, Oklahoma. Grandchildren: Tristen Patton, Colin Patton, Samantha Fraize, Christina Jones, Ella Patton, Elijah Fraize, Aiden Patton, Jaden Fraize. Great Grandchildren: Adalyn Jones, Annabelle Cissell and Annaliese Cissell. Brother: Russ Ita and wife Ruthie, Solon, Ohio.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and 1st wife Jeanette Ita.
Memorials may be sent to the Texoma Southern Baptist Church or Buncombe Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
