Sunny Lynn Isenhower, 69, of Macomb, Oklahoma passed away Friday, August 18, 2023 in Oklahoma City.

She was born December 22, 1953 to Marvin Martin and Frances (Wright) Polson in Dayton, Ohio. She moved around a lot as a child due to her father being a United Methodist Preacher.

Sunny graduated with the class of 1972 from Tecumseh High School. She attended the University of Oklahoma where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration.

She married the love of her life, Oral Vaden Isenhower on June 23, 1973 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. After marriage they moved to Macomb, Oklahoma where she has made her home for the last 50 years.

In 1973 she began her work career working for Jerry Casey Insurance agency until 1976. Then she worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company from 1976-1983. She then went to work for the Department of Human Services from 1984 – 2010 where she retired.

Sunny enjoyed going to the movies, family gatherings and get togethers, and planning parties and being around friends and family. She never missed her grandchildren’s events. She always liked to be in the middle of everything.

She was preceded in death by her son, Thad Marshal Isenhower; and her parents, Marvin and Frances Polson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 50 years, Oral Isenhower of the home; two sons, Luke Isenhower of Macomb and Bryan David Isenhower (Tiffany) of Shawnee; two grandchildren, Ethan Isenhower of Macomb and Libby Isenhower of Macomb; five siblings, Francis “Skip” Polson (Sandy) of College Park, M, Pete Polson (Brenda) of Prairie Grove, AR, Lori Cornelsen (Rex) of Norman, OK, Jan Polson of Oklahoma City, OK and Hope Robertson (Rusty) of Powderly, TX; and other extended family and friends.

Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
