Wayne Levern Isaacs, known as “Shorty” to everyone, the son of Allen and Vera Mae (Floyd) Isaacs, was born on July 16, 1936 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 84 years of age.
Wayne was a well-known figure around Adair County. He was a local boy who grew up to be a teacher that many still fondly remember. In all, he taught the children of Adair County for 37 years.
He was passionate about trading. He would trade just about anything, but mostly cattle, sheep and hogs. He made many lifelong friends while trading.
Wayne enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days. He always had a joke to tell and a smile to follow.
He will be missed.
Wayne was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Jo Isaacs, parents: Allen and Vera Isaacs, his brother: Ray Allen Isaacs and son: Danny Isaacs.
He is survived by his children: Doug Isaacs and wife Cassie of Jay, OK, Sharon Morton and husband Johnny of Westville, OK, daughter-in-law: Elizabeth Isaacs of Stilwell, OK, sister: Susie Collins and husband Mike of Stilwell, grandchildren: Lauren Isaacs, Ashley Isaacs, Luke Issacs, Ryan Isaacs, all of Stilwell, Kyle and Jaelyn Morton of Westville, OK, Thatcher Isaacs, Penny Isaacs and Tate Isaacs of Jay, great grandson: Kaden Morton, many other relatives and friends.
