Sidney L. "Sid" Irwin

October 27, 1940 ~ November 20, 2003

Services: Wed., Nov. 26, 11 a.m.

Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2739 Panama Lane and Hwy. 99, for Sidney L. "Sid" Irwin, 63, who passed away November 20, 2003.

Sid was born on October 27, 1940, in Oklahoma, and resided in Kern County for 55 years. He had been a truck driver for 42 years.

Sid was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #12 for 10 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, whether it was taking them deep sea fishing or taking them on the road in his big rig. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and his dog, Muffin.

Sid is survived by his best friend and love of his life Rose, and her daughter, Tamra; his son, Jimmy Irwin and his children, Kevin and Tyler, son, Billy Irwin and his wife, Kathy and their children, Mark and Ashley; daughter, Michelle Childress and her husband, Larry and their children, Traci and Tara; sister, Sherrill Elson and nephews and nieces, Krista, Aaron, Robin, James and Jessica; and the mother of his children, Eleanora. Sid was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Gertrude Irwin; brother, Johnnie Irwin and his wife, Janet and nephews, John and Ran Irwin.

No visitation is scheduled.
