August 26, 1960 ~ January 30, 2025

Betty Lee Ironside, 64-year-old long time Vinita resident, passed away early Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the St. Francis Vinita Hospital. She was born on August 26, 1960, in Parsons, Kansas to Charles Robert Ironside and Beulah Beth (Nicholas) Ironside. She attended Vinita High School and later worked as a pet groomer at Groomingdales in Vinita. Betty enjoyed going to Casinos, watching her soaps, especially General Hospital and Big Brother, doing puzzles, taking care of her dogs. Betty loved her family and was the one they all could lean on in tough times. She will be greatly missed by all of them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, long time companion, Norman “Tubby” Hardrick, a brother, Terry Lee Babcock, and a sister, Sona Sue Veach.

The family includes her son, Corbett Taylor and wife Kaylee of Miami, daughters, Telinda Taylor of Vinita, Laura Green and husband Buck of Vinita, brother, Charlie Ironside and wife Shelly of Vinita, sisters, Bobbie Chase and husband Jay of Springfield, MO, Georgia Morgan of Wichita, KS, Artela Musick and husband Rick of Adair, Rowena Looney and husband Hoss of Bluejacket, Fredena Jones and husband Donnie of Grove, grandchildren, Jakob French, Joseph French, Jazlyn French, Christina Johnson, Isabella Taylor, Melody Taylor, Harmony Taylor, Serenade Taylor, Lyra Taylor and one great grandchild, Salem French.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel in Vinita.

The celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel in Vinita, Pastor Sam Wilson will officiate. Online condolences may be made at www.highsmithfh.com or on the funeral home Facebook page. Arrangements are in the care of the Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral and Cremation Services of Vinita. “Vinita’s only locally owned and operated funeral home.”
