Tanna Kay Ingram was born on May 8, 1959, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Jack and Beulah (Hawkins) Walden. Surrounded by her loving family, she peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at her home in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, at the age of 65 years, 7 months, and 11 days.
Tanna grew up in the Tulsa area and attended Union Schools, graduating from Will Rogers High School with the class of 1977. On August 17, 1979, in Miami, Oklahoma, Tanna Kaye Walden married Jerry Lee Ingram. Their marriage of over 42 years was a testament to their enduring love. Jerry preceded Tanna in death on August 23, 2021.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Tanna owned and operated White Glove House Cleaning for over 20 years. She also worked at Country Cottage for many years. Tanna had a passion for decorating, gardening, and maintaining her beautiful flower beds. She was known for her exceptional cooking, delighting her family with dishes such as her famous potato salad and fried pork chops. Family meals were moments of joy and connection, creating treasured memories for all.
Tanna loved going to garage sales and frequently made trips to Tulsa in search of unique treasures. She found joy in listening to her collection of 45 records while cleaning her home, filling it with music and the sound of her singing and dancing. Her love for the Victorian style of homes reflected her appreciation for beauty and elegance. Over the years, she extended her caregiving nature to many, nurturing both family and friends with her compassion and kindness.
Her faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was the foundation of her life. Tanna’s unwavering love and devotion to her family defined her character. She was a solid person that was empathetic, forgiving, and accepting, offering love and support even in the face of life’s many challenges. A selfless individual, Tanna always placed her family’s needs above her own, embodying a spirit of sacrifice and unconditional love. Her family adored her and will forever cherish her memory.
Tanna is survived by: 1 daughter: Thuresa Michelle Hill and husband John of Claremore, Oklahoma; 2 sons: Jerry Lee Ingram, Jr. and wife Missy of Locust Grove, Oklahoma and Billy Charles Stuart and wife Jaycee of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren: Chris, Taylor, Coleman, Ciera, Lucy, Zoe, Amelia, Jeralyn, and Conner; 10 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Glenda Scott and Tresa Pressler, both of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews that she helped raise; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; 1 granddaughter: Candace;
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Locust Grove First Free Will Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Jeff Blair. Cremation services have been entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
