Lillian (Lil, Lee, Mom, Gma) Imhoff, age 76 left this world entirely to soon on Tuesday October 10, 2017 from complications of a previous car accident surrounded by people who loved her very much. She was born in New York City, NY to the late James and Lillian Garofalo and was the youngest of 3.
She was married on June 3, 1961 in Ossining, NY to Terry Imhoff and have had celebrated 56 years of marrige. They lived together in New York for 18 years before relocating to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with both of their daughters in 1979.
Lee and Terry did most of their adventuring when they were young. They loved to go on last minute road trips, camping trips and spent most of their time outdoors. They had a very special bond, and a loving marriage. The kind where she loved to boss him around and he loved to make her happy so he did what he was told!
Lee worked for readers digest in NY, Broken Arrow schools with the special ed, then went on to work at American Airlines, where she later retired.
She was very passionate about drawing and painting, really anything that had to do with crafts at all. Every holiday she would find a new pattern for Terry to cut out of wood for her to paint and put out on their front porch. She kept him very busy with all of her ideas. They made a great team and came up with some incredible pieces. She enjoyed taking classes to improve her drawing and painting skills, taking her llamas to nursing homes for animal therapy for the residents, and cooking or baking all kinds of delicious foods and desserts, although when tasting everything she made, or even things she didn't make her shirt always ended up with something on it. She loved being in the kitchen, and felt she needed to have every single utensil, device, bowl, pan, or machine that was made for cooking, then would leave everything in the sink for Terry to clean when she was done, he always had something to do. She was a huge part of the food bank at her church getting started and it was something she was very proud of.
Lee was a part of many little groups, including the Red Hats, Bunko, and a Birthday Group. She loved spending time with all of the ladies and made so many great memories with each and everyone of them, from get-togethers at her friends homes to road trips out of state (where sometimes she face planted and made things extra exciting) She sure knew how to keep people on their toes.
She was a very involved grandmother and great grandmother, spending time with her grandkids and great grandsons was something that made her happiest. Helping with school projects, long road trips, crazy hotel stays, shopping trips, musicals, crafts, baking cookies, looking at Christmas lights, and lots of silly singing. She always had something funny to say and loved seeing her great grandsons smile and hear them laugh. She was the best Gma ever and left her grandkids and great grandsons with so many happy memories.
