Barbara Jean Hyatt of Durant, Oklahoma passed away from this earth to her heavenly home on June 23, 2021, at the age of 75. She was born on July 4, 1945, in Hughes, Arkansas.
She was the hardest working woman you would ever meet and treasured her grandchildren with her whole heart.
She served in the Army August 1966 – August 1969. She was stationed at Ft. Knox.
She was also a hairdresser for a short time after coming out of the army. She worked numerous jobs to support her children including ironing clothes in her home at night for most of Bryan County. Her last job of 18 years was at Four Seasons Nursing Home where she finally retired to keep her grandson, Casey.
After retirement she spent many hours working in her yard and flowers that she dearly loved. Anyone that knew her knew if you called, she would be outside. She had a beautiful yard that she loved until January 1st when she went into the hospital. She beat cancer 5 times. She even beat Covid when they told her she would not if she got it. She proved them wrong on that and came off the vent after 10 days, but her body just never could get stronger. She fought until the end.
