Joe Richard Hutson

August 14, 1955 ~ July 19, 2008

Joe Richard Hutson, longtime resident of Ponca City, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the Pratt Kansas Regional Hospital. He was 52.

Joe was born August 14, 1955 in Ponca City, the son of Floyd Hutson and Betty Auterson Hutson. He was a 1973 graduate of Ponca City High School. He was married to Janetta Harrison on June 12, 1981 in Alva, Oklahoma. Joe was a longtime concrete finisher in the Ponca City and Oklahoma City area. He was a member of the Osage Heights Baptist Church. His many enjoyments included camping, fishing, hunting, and his Schnauzer dog Rowdy. Joe especially enjoyed his children and grandchildren and had great devotion to his wife, Janetta.

He is survived by his wife, Janetta; seven children, Toby Hutson, and wife, Pam, of Ponca City, Richie Hutson, and wife, Shelli, of Ponca City, April Belair, and husband, Jeff, of Ponca City, Kristie Ingram, and husband, Bryson, of Ponca City, Mark Long, and wife, Sabina, of Sun City, Kansas, Lisa Feathers, and husband, Danny, of Ponca City, and Sherry Coursey, and husband, Rick, of Blackwell; his mother-in-law, Geraldine Harrison, of Sun City, Kansas; one sister, Ramona Horton and Rich, of Ponca City, one half sister, Deanna Raulston, of Ponca City; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Floyd Hutson and one half brother, Robert Jordan.

Casket bearers will be Chase Meadows, Trevor Feathers, Branden Spears, Rick Freeman, Chris Freeman, and Brock Long. Honorary casket bearers will be Dyllan Barabasz, Justin Long, and Bill Lauver.

There will be visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Grace Memorial Chapel when family will receive other family and friends.
