Karen Kathleen Hutchinson passed from this life on September 16, 2024, at the age of 53 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Kathy was born on September 7, 1971, in Bellflower, California, the daughter of Clifford George, Jr. and Karen Lee (John) Meano. Kathy grew up in California, attended school in the Bellflower area, and then moved to Cleveland, where she completed her education, graduating with the Class of 1989. Following graduation, Kathy attended Career Pointe in Tulsa and also attended Tulsa Community College, learning computer programming. Kathy was united in marriage to Thor Andrew Hutchinson in April of 2005. The couple resided in Oklahoma and Kentucky for many years before moving to Pawnee in 2019. Kathy later returned to Cleveland following the death of Thor in 2020, where she has continued to reside.
Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, attending church, being with her dog Buster, and going to the beaches. Kathy and Thor drove cross-country for several years with C.R. England, which allowed them to see many places in the United States. Other pastimes Kathy enjoyed were arts and crafts, cross-stitching, and ceramics.
Survivors are her daughter Tyra "TJ" Hutchinson-Meano of Louisville, Kentucky, step-daughter Brandy Hutchinson of Wisconsin, father Clifford Meano, Jr. of Cleveland, Oklahoma; siblings Brian Meano of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Robert Meano of Washington, Charlie Meano of Helena, Oklahoma, niece Roseanne Meano of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends. Her mother, Karen Grillon, and husband, Thor Hutchinson, preceded Karen in death.
Memorial services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Cleveland, with Tyler Turner officiating.
