Ronald George Husmann

Ronald George Husmann
July 25, 1940 ~ September 28, 2021

Ronald George Husmann, age 81, completed his life’s journey on September 28, 2021. George was born on July 25, 1940 to Karl George Husmann and Dorothy Betty (née Hughes) Husmann in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He attended Del City High School and graduated from Guthrie High School. He was a member of the Oklahoma Air National Guard. He married Karen (née Geddes). They were married 30 years when Karen passed away. They had two daughters Jennifer White and Holly (husband Dewayne) Bray both of Edmond, OK. He was a doting grandfather to Ryan, Kayln, and Zachary. He was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone (later AT&T) and retired after 35 years of service. He was a life-long cattle rancher and a true cowboy at heart. George was always styling in his cowboy boots and baseball cap. George later met and married Carol (née Smith). They were married for 18 years until his death. He became a stepfather to Amanda (husband Tyler) Shipley and Kortnie VanWechel. He later became a doting grandfather to Kaybree, Caden, Taylor, and Colton.

George is survived by his wife Carol, daughters Jennifer and Holly, grandchildren, brother Karl Marvin and wife Theresa Husmann of Edmond, sister Betty Gayle (née Husmann) Dawes of Guthrie, and brother Gary Lonnie and wife Jackie Husmann of Guthrie as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. George was well respected and loved by all. He was an amazing father, brother, uncle, and friend. Our hearts are saddened but remain watchful with the hope of reuniting again in Heaven. George, Thank you for being a bright star causing us laughter, love, and the shiniest of cherished memories! We nod the brim of our hats to you and will catch you at Heaven’s fence post. Happy trails to you George!

Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Community Church with Pastor Bill Williams officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
