James Nathan "Jim" Hurd
November 21, 1932 ~ October 7, 2022

Celebration of Life service for James “Jim” Hurd, 89 of Enid will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2022 at Oakwood Christian Church with Pastor Tommy Donaldson officiating.

Jim was born November 21, 1932, at Wichita Falls, TX to Walter Lloyd and Lettie Ellen Hurd and passed away Friday morning October 7, 2022 in Enid.

Jim graduated from Enid High School and Phillips University. He was a life long educator and coach starting at Lahoma High School in 1958, and later at Covington-Douglas High School in the early 1960’s. He retired in 1987, and enjoyed his retirement by golfing and restoring antique furniture.

Jim was a veteran of the US Army serving in San Juan , Puerto Rico.

Jim is survived by his children, Frances Rogers and husband David and John Hurd and wife Cynthia, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Susan Jones and brother Lloyd Hurd.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love.
