September 19, 1973 ~ July 18, 2024

Jason Lee Hurd, a fun-loving father, of Nowata, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of July 18, 2024. He was born on September 19, 1973, in Nowata, Oklahoma, to Bob L. Hurd and Debbie J. (Gable) Hurd.

Jason grew up in the Nowata area, graduating from Alluwe High School in 1992. He worked at Smothers Super Cars, restoring hot rods.

Jason was onery as can be and had a need for speed. He had several interests which mostly involved some sort of transportation going fast such as drag racing, riding motorcycles, jet boats, and BMX. He collected model cars, hats, and shirts. In his free time, Jason enjoyed fishing and tending to his bees. Jason enjoyed spending time with his family and will be deeply missed by those that loved him.

Jason is preceded in death by his grandparents: Virgil and Pauline Price and Leonard and Delores Gable; his niece: Janie Ferguson; and his girlfriend: Sara Knight.

Those left to cherish the memory of Jason include: his parents: Bob and Debbie Hurd; his siblings: David Hurd and wife, Kaci and Gail Hurd and partner, Brady Alspach; his children: Tyler Hurd, Megan Williams and husband, Jason, Courtney Hurd, and Bryce Hurd; his girlfriend: Amanda Blake; his 8 nieces and nephews, along with other family members and many friends.

A visitation for friends and family of Jason is planned for Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at the Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel in Nowata from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
