Bertha Mae Lacy Hunziker, Cushing resident, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2012 in her home at the age of 60 years.
The daughter of the late Lewis Harold Lacy and Pattsie R. Courtright Lacy, Bertha was born on March 27, 1951 in Yale and was reared and educated in Cushing.
Bertha was known for being a "people person". She enjoyed being around others, whether it was while spoiling her grandkids, spoiling others kids or just spending time with her family and friends.
She enjoyed collecting Native American Collectables and landscaping.
Survivors include her son, Danny Thompson and his wife Abbie of Drumright; grandchildren, Jessica Thompson and Kyle Thompson of Drumright and Cody Penny of Yale; siblings, Charles Lacy, James Thompson, Tommie Scalley, Goldie Hatcher, William Lacy, Benny Lacy, Mechell Westberry, Johnny Lacy and Otis Lacy; aunt, Jessie Clancey and numerous other family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Bertha was preceded in death by one sister, Stephanie Lacy.
Memorial services will be Friday, March 16, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. in the Oak Grove Baptist Church with Brother Mike Murray officiating.
