Jeffery Benjamin Hunter

October 4, 1963 ~ January 9, 2017

Jeffery Benjamin Hunter was born on October 4, 1963, in Milford, Connecticut, and departed this life on Monday, January 9, 2017, in McLoud, Oklahoma, at the age of 53.

Jeff, the son of David and Jeanette (Thomas) Hunter, was a resident of McLoud. He married Vicki Cunningham on September 21, 2002 in Alva, Oklahoma.

Jeff proudly served spending 22 years in the US Navy prior to his retirement. After retiring from the Navy he got his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and went to work for KBR Wyle. Jeff was a gun enthusiast, and loved riding his Harley Davidson, but his favorite thing was his people. Jeff loved spending time with his friends from the Navy, his buddies that he rode motorcycles with and being with his family.

Jeff's father and one brother, Kenneth Hunter preceded him in death.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 14 years, Vicki Cunningham of the home; his mother, Jeanette Hunter of Alamogordo, NM; brothers, Stuart Hunter of Scottsdale, AZ, David Thomas Hunter of Alamogordo, NM; sisters, Bonnie and Ruben Encinas of Las Cruces, NM, Jan Keogh of Alamogordo, NM, Diane Wood Alamogordo, NM; and many other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Harrah. A reception will follow.
