Mr. Raymond Edward Hunt, 81, of Nowata, died at 11:30 pm on Friday at Jane Phillips Nowata Heath Center.
A celebration of Mr. Hunt's life will be held at Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville in the Redbud Cafe private dining area from 1-3 pm on Saturday, July 15th.
Mr. Hunt was born on February 5, 1936 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Mary Hazel (Brooks) and Fred Bryan Hunt. He grew up and received his education in Nowata where he graduated in 1954. He married Susie Earlene Gingerich and began their family while continuing to work on his Masters degree in Music Education. Mr. Hunt served as a band director in Waynoka, Shattuck, Yukon, Oklahoma City, Stillwater and later finished career in Nowata Public Schools.
Mr. Hunt is survived by two daughters and one son: Natasha Kime and husband Randy of Lenapah, Sabrina Bruner and husband Shawn of Nowata, Sean Hunt and wife Elisa of Broken Arrow and one sister Evelyn Bean of Bartlesville. He was loved by 20 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings AnnaMae Davidson, Fred Hunt and Lois Schultz, and devoted wife, Sue.
