Linda Lee Hughey was born on October 23, 1962, in Seiling, Oklahoma, to Charles Albert and Sylvia Mae (Robinette) Miller. She departed this life on Friday, October 10, 2025, in Chouteau, Oklahoma, at the age of 62 years, 11 months, and 17 days.
Linda was raised in Camargo, Oklahoma, and attended Leedey High School in Leedey, Oklahoma. On April 1, 1983, she was united in marriage to Randall Hughey, and the two shared two years together. In later years, they developed a lasting friendship built on care and mutual respect. On May 12, 2018, Linda and Tami Squires celebrated their unification, beginning a special companionship that brought great joy to Linda’s life.
Throughout her years, Linda made her home in Enid and Chouteau. She worked at SCL and Evergreen in Enid, and also spent time caring for individuals with disabilities—work that reflected her generous and compassionate heart.
Linda was a woman of many talents and passions. She loved woodworking—building furniture, puzzles, and toys—and enjoyed selling her creations at flea markets alongside her daughter, Lavonna, who painted the pieces. She also had a creative touch for laser engraving, working with wood, metal signs, and pet tags. Linda had a deep love for reading, especially history, and enjoyed taking photographs of nature. She appreciated the simple joys of being outdoors and relaxing outside whenever she could. A proud supporter of the Oklahoma State Cowboys, she also gave her time as a volunteer firefighter in Camargo and attended Vo-Tech to learn home construction.
Above all, Linda will be remembered for her loving spirit. She brought laughter and light wherever she went and was always ready to give the shirt off her back to help someone in need.
