Jessamine "Jessie" (Singhurst) Hugener

November 19, 1926 ~ July 8, 2005

Jessamine Singhurst Hugener (Jessie) Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., for Jessamine Jessie Hugener, 78, who passed away July 8, 2005.

Mrs. Hugener was born on November 19, 1926, in McAllister, Oklahoma and resided in Kern County for 60 years.

She last worked as a cook at the Buckhorn Steakhouse for 6 years.

Mrs. Hugener was a member of the Avion Travel Club, Sundowners Club, Old Times Radio Club, honorary member of Sweet Adelines in Arkansas, Retired Teamsters, SKP (Special Kind of People), a national camping group and Rack and Sack Folk Music Society in Mountain View, Arkansas, folk music capital of the world.

She loved to play the guitar, and sing country folk music.

Mrs. Hugener is survived by her husband, William Hugener; son, James A. McKinley; grandsons, James William McKinley, Shawn McKinley and Steven McKinley; and brothers, Max Singhurst of South Dakota and Dallas Singhurst of Stockton, CA and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation begins Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. 9:00 p.m.

Services: Thurs., July 14, 11:00 am.
