Alice Faye Huffines passed from this life on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 77.
On April 12, 1945, Alice was born in Palmdale, California, the daughter of Thomas Alexander, Sr., and Mattie Belle (Henry) Baker. Alice grew up in Verden, Oklahoma, and Miami, Oklahoma, graduating from Hominy High School with the Class of 1963. On her 18th birthday, April 12, 1963, Alice was united in marriage to Clyde Allen Huffines. They established their home in Cleveland, Oklahoma where they recently celebrated 59 years of marriage. Following graduation, Alice began working at Munsingwear. She also worked following several transitions to ProTog and later Southwest Cupid retiring in the early 1990s.
Alice enjoyed roller skating and would frequent Skatetown in Cleveland, always willing to teach kids how to skate. Alice had a heart of gold. She was always ready to help others and give them whatever she had to make a difference. Alice enjoyed drawing and painting, going fishing and talking on the CB with others. Her family and grandchildren were always the light of her day. Watching westerns, old movies, and especially murder mysteries were her pastimes. However, taking in animals was her favorite thing to do.
Survivors are husband Clyde of the home, daughter Mary Noxon of North Fort Worth, Texas; one brother Thomas Baker and his wife Shirley of Enid, Oklahoma, five grandchildren LaJuanna Hall of Muldrow, Oklahoma, April Cummings of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Sarah Cummings of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Hannah Noxon of Lubbock, Texas, Hailey Noxon of North Fort Worth, Texas; four great grandchildren Madison, Makenzie and Donnie Harrison of Muldrow, Oklahoma, Brayden Strowick of North Fort Worth, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends. Alice was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Karen Cummings.
Services will be held Saturday, May 14th at 2pm at Western Heights Baptist Church with David Head officiating.
