Jeffrey Lindsey Huff of Wellston, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at his home on November 9, 2021 at the age of 55. Jeff was born on September 25, 1966 to Glenna Kay Clary and Michael McGuire.
Jeff was a “Jack of all trades.” His dads and uncles on all sides taught him many life skills and that if there was work to be done to do it well and get it done. In his early years he worked along-side his dad, Jack, and the Huffs in the construction field and later along-side his dad, Michael, at their farm and supply where he learned to repair small equipment as well as work on their farm caring for livestock.
Jeff served as Sheriff for Braggs, Oklahoma and a deputy for Muskogee County. He then learned to drive a “big truck” spending several years loving the open road. He completed his tenure as a heavy equipment operator and served as ‘Poppa,’ passing on his skills to many in the pipeline industry.
Jeff was an avid outdoors person and loved hunting and fishing his whole life as well as racing cars and sand draggin’, all shared with family. He made his own ammo and processed all his own deer instructing his kids along the way.
Jeff was raised in a firefighter family and as a son of an Army Officer. He had a passion for honoring our first responders and our military any way he could. He served wholeheartedly in the Oklahoma Patriot Guard and Flagpoles Honoring our Veterans as well as volunteered with the Daughters of the American Revolution, and many other Veteran Organizations throughout his years.
