Colleen Viola (Firrel) Huff
May 28, 1930 ~ March 20, 2023  | 92 Years Old

Colleen Viola Huff completed her 92 year journey on March 20, 2023, at Green Tree Memory Care in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. She was born on May 28, 1930, to Irven Allen and Oneita (Kothe) Firrel in rural Osage County.

She attended Braden and Burbank schools and was a long-time employee at Conoco.

In her younger days, she was an avid barrel racer at local rodeos. She continued her love of equine sports into her mid-70s by participating and winning team penning events in NE Oklahoma and Kansas.

She loved cats and previously operated her own cat boarding facility on her homestead west of Ponca City.

She is preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Samuel Huff.

She is survived by her sister, Doreen Buxton and niece, Brenda Shance, both of Sand Springs.

There will be no services. Cremation by Grace Memorial Chapel, Ponca City.

Any gifts in her honor should be directed to the Ponca City Humane Society
