Johnnie LeeRoy Hudson Jr., 71, of Marietta passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022, at his residence. Johnnie was born January 20, 1951, in Sulphur, the son of Johnnie LeeRoy and Lola Wanda Brewster Hudson.
Johnnie grew up and attended school in Sulphur. He was a construction manager in the light and energy industry. Johnnie married the love of his life, Jamie Darlene Britt on April 28, 1978, in Ardmore. They moved to Marietta in February 1983 where they made their home.
Johnnie was full of life, a jokester, and an entrepreneur at heart. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and throwing his annual July 4 fish fry. Johnnie loved rock-n-roll music and a good party, but nothing brightened his day more than spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
In addition to his parents, Johnnie was preceded in death by brothers, James Wilkins and Tommy Hudson; sisters, Linda Wilkins Withers, Brenda Wilkins Eldred, and Joy May Wilkins Boulter.
Johnnie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jamie Hudson of the home; daughter, Stephanie Jordan and husband Charlie of Carrollton, Texas; sons, Johnnie Hudson III of Sulphur and James "Preston" Hudson of Marietta; brothers, D.I. Wilkins and wife Karen of Ada, C.R. Wilkins and wife Kathy of Sulphur, and Gary Hudson and wife Brenda of Comanche; sister, Rosetta Bradley and husband Otis of Atlanta, Texas; six grandchildren, Hudson Jordan, Erica Thomas and husband Donny, Brittany Hudson Graves, Aaiden Hudson, London Scott, and Montana Hudson and wife Kristen; four great-grandchildren, Midna Thomas, Link Thomas, Elaina Hudson, and Serenity Hudson; and numerous other friends and family.
A small memorial celebration will be held at his residence at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, weather permitting.
